Pool Protect Filter Cleaner 1L

Filter Cleaner is a concentrated cleaner that efficiently removes dirt, scale, rust, body oils and cosmetics residue buildup in pool and spa sand or cartridge filters. When used on a regular basis, Filter Cleaner will improve filtration and prolong the life of the cartridge or sand filter.

Instructions for cartridge filter:

• Prepare a solution of 250 mL of Filter Cleaner per 5 L of water in a bucket. Adjust quantities as needed depending on height of cartridge.
• Place cartridge upright in the pail, ensuring it is completely covered by the solution. Allow to soak for a minimum of 6 hours.
• Remove cartridge from solution and rinse immediately with cold tap water.
• Let cartridge dry, replace in filter and restart filter.

6 HOURS OF SOAKING 1 CARTRIDGE AT A TIME : 250 mL of Filter Cleaner+ 5 L OF WATER

Instructions for sand filter:

• Raise the water level to above the skimmer (maximum level).
• Stop the filter. Ensure skimmer basket is clean and empty.• If the filter is located near the skimmer, pour the contents of the bottle directly into the skimmer basket with the filter in the “Filter” position. Start the filter, let run for 5 seconds and then stop the filter.
• If the filter is located far from the skimmer, pour the contents of the bottle directly into the pump basket, close the lid and run the pump until the colored liquid is gone and the water is clear.
• Let soak for 8 hours.
• After 8 hours, change the filter position to “Backwash”, start the pump and let it run for 2 to 5 minutes. Stop the pump, put the filter back to the “Filter” position and restart.
